The view was taken from Ibn Tulun Minaret, specifically from the spiral stairway to the Minaret. It’s a relatively narrow helical outer staircase similar to that of the famous minaret in Sameraa that takes you from above the Mosque up to the Minaret. This design is the only one in Cairo. It is arguably the oldest mosque in the city surviving in its original form, and is the largest mosque in Cairo in terms of land area.
تم التقاط الصورة من على السلم الحلزونى لمئذنة مسجد احمد بن طولون. السلم ضيق ويلتف حلزونيا حول المئذنة من الخارج مشابهاً للمئذنة الشهيرة بمدينة سامراء. ويمتد السلم من أعلى سطح المسجد إلى المئذنة. ويعتبر هذا التصميم فريدا من نوعه بين مساجد القاهرة القديمة. يعتبر هذا المسجد أقدم المساجد فى القاهرة التى ظل على شكله الأصلى، وأكبر المساجد فى المدينة من حيث مساحة الأرض.
Capturing the interiors of Mohamed Ali Mosque and looking into the main entrance. Mohamed Ali Mosque is a part of Cairo citadel in Egypt. The Citadel’s appearance today is the vision of Muhammad ‘Ali, particularly the mosque that bears his name. It was built between 1824 and 1848; the domes had to be rebuilt in the 1930s.
ألتقطت هنا المشهد الداخلي لمسجد محمد على وبوابته الرئيسية. مسجد محمد على يقع فى القلعة بالقاهرة. ويعتبر المظهر الحالى للقلعة هو رؤية محمد على نفسه، وخاصة المسجد الذي يحمل اسمه. وقد تم بناء هذا المسجد بين عامي 1824 و 1848، وتم لا حقا إعادة ترميم القباب فى الثلاثينيات من القرن العشرين.
For the last three years, since I started sharing my photos on social media, I have been making a lot of efforts to reach the right audience. From day ONE, I decided to share all my posts simultaneously on both Facebook & Google Plus. And during all that time I was monitoring and comparing fans’ interaction with my photos shared in both sites. Finally, I can say it loudly, Google Plus is a better place for Photographers to share their work. Here’s why I came up with that conclusion.
على مدار الثلاث سنوات الماضية ومنذ أن بدأت بمشاركة صوري على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعى، أبذل الكثير من الجهد للوصول إلى الجمهور المناسب للفن الذي أقدمه. وقد قررت من اليوم الأول أن أشارك بأعمالى على موقعيَ جوجل بلس وفيسبوك في نفس الوقت. وخلال هذه الفترة كنت أراقب وأقارن تفاعلات الجمهور مع صوري على الموقعين. وأخيراً، أستطيع أن أعلنها صراحةً أن موقع جوجل بلس أفضل بكثير للمصورين ليشاركوا بأعمالهم. وسأعرض هنا الأسباب التي انتهت بي إلى هذه النتيجة.

This is capturing the Ceiling Beauty of Mohamed Ali Mosque. When the Ottoman Muhammad Ali assumed power of Cairo in the 1800s he had most of the Mamluk buildings of the Citadel razed and the complex entirely rebuilt. The Citadel’s appearance today is the vision of Muhammad ‘Ali, particularly the mosque that bears his name. It was built between 1824 and 1848; the domes had to be rebuilt in the 1930s. This view shows how one of those domes look from underneath.
هذه اللقطة صورت جمال سقف مسجد محمد على. عندما تقلد الوالى العثمانى محمد على مقاليد حكم مصر فى القرن التاسع عشركانت معظم مبانى المماليك بالقلعة مهدمة وقام بإعادة ترميمها بالكامل. فالمظهر الحالى للقلعة يمثل رؤية محمد على، وخاصة المسجد الذي يحمل اسمه. وقد تم بناء هذا المسجد بين عامي 1824 و 1848، وتم لا حقا إعادة ترميم القباب فى الثلاثينيات من القرن العشرين. ما قمت بتصويره هنا هو أحد هذه القباب من الأسفل داخل المسجد.

Capturing the amazing Wadi El Rayan Waterfalls in Sunrise One more time. After a long and exhausting night trying to Photograph the Milky Way, we end up with an amazing Sunrise. As it was my second visit to the place, I was confident that light conditions in the place are awesome at Sunrise.
زيارة جديدة لشلالات وادي الريان الرائعة. بعد ليلة طويلة ومرهقة في محاولة لتصوير مجرة درب التبانة، حصلنا في نهاية المطاف على شروق رائع للشمس.وبم أنها كانت زيارتي الثانية للمكان، فقد كنت واثقاً من أن ظروف الإضاءة في المكان ستكون جميلة ومناسبة عند شروق الشمس.
For the last few days, and since Adobe Lightroom CC has been released, I have seen a lot of debates going on among the HDR Photography fans. Tens of opinions and conclusions were released in trials that either support or even be against the HDR merge in Adobe Lightroom CC and many comparisons have been made with Photomatix and even other softwares. As an HDR enthusiast, or may be a little more, I have decided to share my perspective in the differences & pros / cons of the HDR processing in Lightroom CC vs Photomatix Pro. However, if you are looking for a decision which of these softwares to use, then it’s not here. Simply, because I will keep using both of them getting the advantages of both ways and mixing them in Photoshop. To have a consistent deep look, I will analyse the performance of the two programs in categories and will also use sample photos to visually compare the differences between the two programs.
فى الأيام القليلة الماضية، وبعد إصدار النسخة الجديدة من برنامج لايت روم سي سي، لاحظت وجود الكثير من النقاشات والجدل ما بين المصورين و محبى التصوير المهتمين بتقنية HDR. عشرات الآراء والاستنتاجات تخرج من هنا وهناك فى محاولة لدعم أو الوقوف ضد خاصية الدمج HDR الجديدة التى أصبحت متاحة فى لايت روم للمرة الأولى. وأيضا العديد من المقارنات جرت بين الصور الناتجة من هذا البرنامج والصور الناتجة من برنامج فوتوماتيكس الشهير. وبم أننى كثيراً ما أستخدم تقنية HDR فى صورى، فقد قررت تجربة خاصية HDR الجديدة فقط بعد ساعات قليلة من إصدار البرنامج. فى هذا المقال سأستعرض رؤيتى للفروق و مميزات وعيوب معالجة صور HDR بكلا البرنامجين، لايت روم سي سي وفوتوماتيكس. ولكن إذا كنت تبحث عن اتخاذ قرار حول اي البرنامجين لتوقف استخدام البرنامج الآخر، فلن تجد الإجابة هنا. وهذا لأن قراري النهائي بعد التجربة كان الإبقاء على كلا البرنامجين واستغلال ميزات كلاً منهما، ودمج الصور الناتجة منهما لاحقا ببرنامج فوتوشوب. للقيام بمراجعة متعمقة، سأقوم بتحليل أداء البرنامجين من عدة جهات وسأستخدم أيضاً صور توضيحية للمقارنة بينهما.
A nice meditation moment captured for that Gentleman. He was resting for sometime at noon time. And we were about six photographers spotted his photogenic face and impressions and started taking photos of him from different angles. This amazing place is a rest house in the middle of nowhere at Wadi Hitan (Valley of Whales) in Egypt’s Western Desert.
لحظة تأمل جميلة قمت بالتقاطها للرجل اثناء جلوسه. من الواضح أنه كان يأخذ قسط من الراحة وقت الظهيرة. كنا تقريبا ستة من المصورين وجدنا هذا الرجل بوجهه الجذاب وتعبيراته الملفتة، وبدأنا فى التقاط الصور له من عدة زوايا مختلفة. هذا المكان الرائع كان عبارة عن استراحة فى صحراء مصر الغربية بمنطقة وادى الحيتان.
Framing Ibn Tulun Minaret from inside the Dome. I honestly didn’t see this view a lot. Although it might look obvious, I don’t think it was captured a lot before. For some reason, not a lot of photographers published photos for this obvious composition. Is that because of the excessive variation of lighting? May be.
وضع مئذنة ابن طولون داخل الإطار. فى الحقيقة لم أرى هذا المشهد تم تصويره كثيراًعلى الرغم من أن المشهد قد يبدوا سهلاً. لسبب ما لا أعرفه، لم يقم كثير من المصورين بالتقاط المئذنة من هذا الوضع. هل قد يكون السبب فى الاختلاف الكبير فى الإضاءة بين الداخل والخارج؟ قد يكون، لا أعلم.
