It was a really nice and calm morning on the lake of Wadi Al Rayan. We have started the day very early to capture the sunrise on the lake. Then after the sun got brighter, started to capture other things around, from waiting boats to waterfalls. The weather was as calm as you don’t imagine. A shot like this is that stable and sharp with a 91 seconds exposure time.
كان صباح لطيف وهادئ على شاطئ بحيرة وادي الريان. لقد بدأنا اليوم في وقت مبكر جدا للحاق بشروق الشمس على البحيرة. ثم لاحقا عندما أصبحت الشمس أكثر إشراقا، بدأت في التقاط المناظر الأخرى حول البحيرة، من القوارب إلى الشلالات. كان الطقس هادئا كما لم أكن أتخيل فلقطة مثل هذه لم اتوقعها مستقرة وحادة مع 91 ثانية من التعرض.

At the time of the photo, I was worried about the boats moving during the shot. So I captured an additional regular fast shutter photo without the ND filter so I can mask the boats from it later. However, I found out that the long exposure photo is acceptably sharp and stable.
في ذلك الوقت، كنت قلقا على القوارب من التحرك خلال التصوير. ولذا فقد التقطت احتياطيا صورة أخرى سريعة من دون فلتر ND حتى أتمكن من استخدامها فى إخفاء حركة القوارب على فوتوشوب في وقت لاحق. ومع ذلك، وجدت أن الصورة ذات التعرض الطويل كانت حادة والقوارب مستقرة دون حركة.
The photo was taken around 9:30 in the morning with the sun very shiny. In addition, the sun was almost behind the boats and facing the lens. In such a bright scene, getting a long exposure shot needs good preparation.
لقد التقطت الصورة حوالى الساعة 9:30 صباحا فى وجود الشمس ساطعة جدا. وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، كانت الشمس تقريبا خلف القوارب مواجه للعدسة. وفي مثل هذا المشهد كثير الاضاءة، يكون الحصول على لقطة ذات تعرض طويل ليس سهلا ويحتاج إعدادا جيدا.
As you see in this photo (by my great photographer friend, Mohamed Hakem), I had to get my tiny beast camera (SONY A7) low to get the shot as dramatic as I could. Then selected a very narrow aperture to get good depth of field and very little light as well. I also reduced the ISO to the Camera lowest possible value. On top of that, I installed a Circular Polarizer and an ND filter on the Zeiss 24-70 mm lens. The photo is later processed in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop in a very basic way, no big tricks in this one.
كما ترونى في هذه الصورة (التقطها صديقي المصور الرائع، محمد حاكم)، جعلت كاميرتى الصغيرة (SONY A7) منخفضة للحصول على لقطة درامية قدر ما استطعت. ثم قمث باختيار فتحة عدسة ضيقة جدا للحصول على عمق جيد للميدان، وأيضا للحصول على القليل من الضوء. وقمت أيضا بخفض قيمة ISO إلى أدنى قيمة ممكنة فى الكاميرا. وعلاوة على ذلك، قمت أيضا بتثبيت فلتر بولارويز وفلتر ND على عدسة زايس 24-70 مم. تمت معالجة الصور في وقت لاحق على برنامج أدوبي لايت روم وفوتوشوب بطريقة بسيطة جدا، لا يوجد أي معالجات صعبة في هذه الصورة.
