In Muhammad Ali Mosque

Muhammad Ali Mosque

I have taken this photo about three months back. The reason I’m posting it now is some rumors going around about a decision to ban Photography in that place. The place is Salah Eldin Citadel which contains several mosques, museums and other Islamic culture related places. I’m not sure if that decision was actually taken, but I’m sure what negative effects it will have on thousands of photographers and probably tourists enjoying this place. At that visit when I took this photo, I had no problems at all to spend three hours carrying my photography equipment while going around inside. I have taken many photos and made a “Behind The Scenes” video tutorial for one of them.

EXIF: F13 – 1/100 s – 24 mm – ISO 100

The photo was an HDR created out of three bracketed exposures. The three photos were merged in Photoshop into a huge TIFF photo that contains almost all the light data, then processed in Adobe Lightroom.
