Imagine you see this scene almost everyday, isn’t it amazing. It’s a real Life-time memory. This is the beautiful city of Putrajaya, Malaysia. In the Photo is Masijd Putra which construction began in 1997 and was completed two years later. It is located next to Perdana Putra, which houses the Malaysian Prime Minister’s office and man-made Putrajaya Lake. In front of the mosque is a large square with flagpoles flying Malaysian states’ flags.

The pink-domed Putra Mosque is constructed with rose-tinted granite consists of three main functional areas – the prayer hall, the Sahn, or courtyard, and various learning facilities and function rooms. The mosque can accommodate 15,000 worshippers at any one time [wikipedia.com]

This is one of the latest photos I have taken with the SONY NEX-7, before I switch to the Full Frame system. Unlike many of my photos, this was not a bracketed HDR. It’s a single RAW file that was subject to few post processing steps. In short, I have created two copies of the photo in Adobe Lightroom (Virtual Copy), and edited each copy separately. One of them was adjusted for the sky colors, and the other copy was adjusted for the building and surroundings. Then later, took those two copies into Adobe Photoshop as Layers. Using the Layer Mask, I blended the two copies producing this beautiful scene.
