That was a nice moment. Shooting the woman with here baby is a lifetime memory, and you feel proud to record such a moment. The silhouette tone was a decision taken before the shot. I was shooting in Aperture Priority mode, and lowered the exposure compensation to -3, which accordingly reduced the exposure extremely to (1/4000) of a second. Of course I set up the camera for continuous shooting to capture as much moments as I can, then later, I have chosen this particular one to process. To get good lighting conditions on both the subjects and the background, I have generated different versions of the photo in Lightroom, one dark, one half bright, one warm … etc. Then masked them together in photoshop.
